In Excel, why aren't the changes I'm making in some cells affecting the values in other cells?
If you make a change in Excel and nothing else seems to change, you might have "Calculation" set to Manual rather than "Automatic."
You probably want Calculation set to Automatic for this and all other Excel uses. To set Excel to Automatic calculation, choose the Tools menu and then Options.
Navigate to the Calculation tab and click on Automatic.
