NOTE: After setting your security level, you will need to close and reopen Excel.

For Excel XP and Excel 2003

  • Open a blank Excel workbook and go to:
  • Tools/Options/Security/Macro Security or
  • Tools/Macro/Security (depending on your version of Excel).
  • If the security level is set to Very High or High, change it to Medium (if not set to Very High or High, then leave the settings as you find them and "cancel").
  • This will allow you to use the macros in any of our tools.
  • It is okay to leave the security level at the "Medium" level because it will always ask you if you want to proceed if you open an Excel file that contains macros.
  • For this change to take effect, you will need to close and reopen Excel.
